  • Beach day for Bana Electric

    Bana Electric provided the electrical work for the Energy and Nature Educations Center at beautiful Jones Beach in Wantagh.  The new, net-zero Center was constructed to produce as much electricity as it consumes and convey its efficiency to visiters with real-time data displays to promote energy conservation and sustainability. BEC installed electrical systems which include a new solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage system and Simplex Fire Alarm systems throughout.  Plan a socially-distanced beach day and check out the cool new Nature Center!

  • All Aboard for Bana Electric

    Bana Electric is pleased to have been a part of the LIRR Station Enhancement Initiatives project.  Bana was the electrical subcontractor to Citnalta/Scalamandrew JV for eight (8) LIRR station renovations at Bellmore, Brentwood, Deer Park, East Hampton, Farmingale, Merrick, Stony Brook and Syosset.  Responsibilites included upgrading and support for electrical systems and lighting control devices, as well as interior and exterior LED lighting and Emergency and Exit lighting.  Enjoy your enhanced riding experience courtesy of BEC!

  • Stony Brook University leads the future of Health Care with Bana Electric

    Stony Brook University's new 250,000-square-foot Medical and Research Translation (MART) building is located on the University's academic Medical Center campus and houses eight floors devoted to imaging, neurosciences, and cancer research. Bana Electric provided an electrical fit out for the MART Tower and well as the 10 story Bed Tower, with 150 state-of-the-art inpatient bed accommodations. BEC installed electrical systems which include new UPS and emergency systems powered by two 1500KW generators, and Simplex Fire Alarm systems throughout.

  • Bana Electric powers up Long Island Welcome Center

    Bana Electric Corp., along with Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Department of Transportation, transformed the Long Island Expressway parking area at Exits 51-52 into a beautiful Long Island Welcome Center.  The center offers drivers a safe and modern facility to rest while promoting local businesses.  The Welcome Center provides ample parking for up to 135 passenger vehicles, state-of-the-art lighting, restrooms, 24/7 video monitoring and on-site law enforcement.  The Welcome Center also features charging stations, solar panels and KOHLER generator power backup.  Come and visit on your way out East!

  • Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant relies on Bana Electric

    Bana Electric was selected as one of the elite contractors on site to complete electrical distribution system improvements at the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant. Bana Electric will be upgrading the Bay Park electrical systems to ensure smooth processing of the approximately 50 million gallons of sewage a day. Bana Electric is proud to be a part of Governor Cuomo's initiative to "ensure the plant can withstand a 500 year storm event".

  • Roosevelt Field Mall Renovations count on the experts at Bana Electric

    Bana Electric leads the way with electrical renovations with projects like Roosevelt Field Mall, having updated and modernized mall lighting, fire alarm and sound systems. BEC completed work in the luxury mall addition and brand new food court, as well as having provided lighting and fixtures for the new parking garage. Bana Electric also installed additional emergency generators to make sure shopping will go on uninterrupted. Happy Shopping!

  • Hurricanes and Blizzards No Match for Bana Electric

    Bana Electric Corp. is there to help when Long Islanders suffer without electricity when weather events like Hurricane Irene, Hurricane Sandy, and Blizzard Nemo blast the area. BEC provided life-saving service to the Red Cross shelter in Farmingdale, as well as providing generator service to key companies on Long Island like Nestle Water, BASF and Caithness Energy Center. Bana Electric was instrumental in getting parts of Long Beach back up and running, as well as taking part in the rebuilding of the Sandy-ravaged Jones Beach theater. BEC also provided storm service to LI homeowners like Lori Basta, who had a 9 day long power outage in her neighborhood after Hurricane Sandy. "With four young kids," says Basta, "we couldn't have managed without power for so long, and are so grateful for our generator from Bana Electric."

  • Long Island Hospitals that depend on emergency power depend on BEC

    When a burned-out switch caused Nassau University Medical Center to lose power, the experts at Bana Electric were called to help with temporary operation of the hospital on emergency power.

    BEC was there to make sure that all needed electrical power support for inpatient and emergency services continued uninterrupted until normal power was restored. Bana Electric also services other local hospitals such as Winthrop and Southampton hospitals and was the electrical contractor for the new state-of-the-art Stony Brook MART.
